Share the best tip you've received or learned so far!

Share the best tip you've received or learned so far!

One I learned

Be conservative about who you send STDs to. It was the same price for 150 as it was for 125 and I got carried away and now months later I'm stuck inviting people I'm now not sure I really needed to invite. Not sending the STD still gives me the option of inviting them or not inviting them. I wish I had just sent it to family and super close friends.

One I was told but haven't followed (yet): Make up your seating chart now. It's one of the most stressful things. Make your seating plan with your guest list and then you can just take people off and shift them around as RSVPs come in, but at least you'll have the general idea.

Any other tips?

number all of your guests and their response cards before you send out the invites..when they come in w/o a name on it you will be able to match it up!! it happens!!!

2 Tips:

1. When saving for the RH save for how ever many people you are inviting. For example FH and I invited 200 ppl but we have to have 150. So we saved for 200. if we only get 170 then we have extra money

2. ENJOY YOUR WEDDING!!! Take time to sit back with you new DH and look at everything.

when fh proposed, (literally a moment after) an older woman walked up to me, grabbed my hand and said, ' give, give, give and expect nothing in return..thats the secret to a happy marriage'

It's a tip FH and I gave to ourselves from the start, and one that we believe in and use:

'Our money...our rules'

I also learned about the STD thing, FH and I were just talking about that because we feel like some people who got them 'don't care'...........

Do NOT pick your bridal party until the excitement of the engagement has worn off... Sometimes in the spur of a moment your emotions get carried away and you end up asking people to 'share your special day' that really could not care less... AND ALSO do not ask anyone in the BP simply because they're family.... no obligations with your wedding - it's YOUR day!
