Share your story - Most touching moment up to now.....

Hey ladies!!! Share your most touching moment of wedding planning up to now. Whether it be something that made you stop and say, 'Holy Crap!!!! I'm getting married!!' or something that just made you cry....

For me it was at my bridal shower.....
You know, I thought I would be all sly and not let anyone know I had an idea, but when I walked into the restaurant, and everyone screamed 'Surprise!' and I saw my mom and all my aunts and friends there, I cried like a baby!! I hugged my mom so tight and cried like I was 4 years old again...Something about knowing everyone was there celebrating with me, really touched me. Everything was coming together....

I think for me it was the week before my wedding at DH's AufRuf (where he gets called up to the Torah during Saturday Shabbot Services). That was his moment, I was so proud of him. But the moment that really jolted me into reality was when we said goodbye that evening. We were not allowed to see eachother for the 7 days leading up to the wedding, and saying goodbye that night, I looked at him (of course I was crying) and said 'Holy Crap, next time you see me, I will be in my wedding dress!'

Up until now?? The most touching moment I can think of is every morning when my FH shows me our countdown clock and with a smile reminds me of how many more days we have until out wedding day. Also.. sometimes we practice our 'first dance' and tells me that Ihe needs to hold my hand on the left side of his chest because that is where his heart is I know... mushy, right?

Most touching/overwhelming moment so far has been when we did our Confirmation together. Made me realize that we were getting married before GOD and his church just like I dreamed as a little girl and that I was truly marrying the man of my dreams. It was very emotional for me.

This is kind of dumb....but I was in church on Sunday which was exactly 3 months to the day/date of my wedding and I was imagining myself walking down the aisle! I had to keep myself from getting emotional!

Up till now it had to be the day I got the letter from the post office granting my annulment meaning we'd be able to get married in the Catholic Church with a full mass, something that really meant a lot to us

my most touching moment so far (and i posted this on BHB) was that my mom sent FH an ecard for easter and he wrote her back telling her how much he loves me and that he cant wait to marry me and become a part of my family (he isnt very close with his sisters and both parents passed away)...makes me cry each time I think of it b/c he isnt very open with his feelings, especially with my parents so it was very touching for me to know he said those sweet things to my mom

It wasnt until very close to our wedding date that Iearned that my DH stated his intentions towards me to my brother - basically asking him permission to marry me because he couldnt ask my father. My father had been ill for many months in and out of consciousness. DH felt it was the right thing to do. When I found out he asked my brother, I was a big ol mess. My father would have been proud. I really miss him.

up until now it would be when FH and I went shopping for our wedding bands. He was trying them on and finally found one he liked and he looked at me and said 'I better like it huh? I'm wearing it forever'. Just hearing him say 'forever' was like a jolt. We're going to grow old together...I CANT WAIT!!!!

It was either at my shower (I cried like a baby when I walked in as well). When everyone shouted 'Surprise' and I saw everyone that came, I was totally overwhelmed. It made me feel like it was totally real and made me feel really grown up for some reason...

The other time was when my FH made a CD of potential first dance songs...We'd been having trouble picking a song, and we had a long car trip. He put this CD in, and said, 'I figure this is as good a time as any to figure out what song we'll dance to at our wedding.' It was so sweet and thoughtful that he did it, and the songs he put on the CD we awesome. He put James Taylor's song, 'You've Got a Friend' and I started crying right there on the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut (which is, by the way, really unsafe to drive on while crying )

My most touching moments were:

1- At the rehearsal dinner, DH and I thanked everyone for taking the trip and for being so good to us. Then I started to speak and bagan bawling, thanking everyone for their love and support, and for all the amazing people I am so lucky to have in my life.....it was pretty emotional for me and our guests....

2-DH and I worte our own vows, that was pretty touching and very emotional, again, I cried, but tried to hold it together. There were many sniffles in the audience, which made me worse....

3-The next most emotional time was dancing with my mom, I cried so hard I soaked her shoulder. We danced to 'In My Daughter's Eyes' and I wailed like a baby, so much that my mom had to try to console me. In our video, my BMs are all crying at the edge of the dancefloor.....I love my Mom....

Probably when FH woke up the other morning and out of nowhere said, 'I'm so excited to marry you'.

Mine was today! I have been calm and very excited about getting married...and Still excited! But it really occurred to me today, when my dress came in...that WOW, I am the bride and I am getting married! I was still shaking after hours of getting the call!

I am not sure, right now with 2 days till my wedding, my dress is hanging in my room and I just stare at it calmly. I think its how friggin calm I am, today after having a cold for 5 days ( I still have a cough) finding out it might rain on saturday and have FMIL spring stuff on us at the last moment, I realized what matters is US, us being together creating our own little family, the rest all falls to the way side. Its about me & you I told my FH, nothing else, love, love , LOVE
