Today I was speaking to a friend of mine about floral decorations. She had made a suggestions on ways to try and cut wedding costs. Remember now ladies, it's just an idea.
For the florist she stated that maybe you could found out what other bride was having their wedding on the same day.(same venue, same room) If both of the brides have the same color scheme maybe you could split the cost of the florist. Besides, she says some people do away with their centerprices, etc. after the wedding.
Just a suggestion!!!

Interesting... The one reason why I wouldn't do that is because the flowers would be all wilted by the time the 2nd wedding rolls around lol.

don't mean to crash the topic...but also, remember people expect that someone at the table will be taking the centerpiece home after the reception....everyone always takes the centerpiece.

Definitely true! Who exactly gets the centerpiece anyway? I was thinking about this the other day. Do ppl just grab 'em at the end of the night? and where in the hec would they put it? They're usually SO huge! Can you tell I'm still a 'wedding newbie' at heart?

hey ladies! usually the CP's are given away in some kind of game using the DJ. they'll make an announcement about the CP's, and then do one of the following things. here are some examples:
1) person at table whose birthday is closest to the wedding day 2)one person takes out a dollar at each table, and then they pass the dollar around like a hot potato while DJ plays music, person holding dollar when music stops...wins the CP 3)couple at table who have been married the longest
can't think of too many more...but i'm sure there are tons of ways.

Ahhh thanks a lot! I really like the second one! Sounds like fun! It'd be cute to do it with some kind of wedding related item like a garter, fake ring, tiara, cake or something!
