I'd like to order shawls for my girls, but i'm leaving it as completely optional since it costs 1/4 of the dress cost! Just curious if there's any other option here (november wedding, lazaro bm dresses). thanks:)

Lord and taylor has a GREAT selection of shawls. I've bought them to go with my formal gowns. I have a floor length velvet ballgown, and I thought a shawl wwould be so expensive. it was on sale for $40 at L&T

Got mine at JC Penny's, they were $30 and marked down to $19.99. I then had each girls' initial embriodered on the corner.

I ordered ours from Deb Priestley, a bridal seamstress. She made the shawls for my MOH wedding in July and they were great. She matched Alfred Angleo butter (satin) with chiffon for the shawls perfectly. she is making my girls' shawls for $22 each. That includes insured shipping to one address...and each shawl is packaged in a ziplock with the girls names. Also, she makes differeent sizes...2 yards for anyone 5'6' and shorter; anyone taller (or quite heavy) gets a 2 1/2 yard shawl. Her website is

Yes they do!! I was just at the Bay Shore one, and they have some cute stuff - shawls to sequined panchos to balero jackets. Cute! Just picked myself up one from there!
PS -missed you on Easter! PPS - can't wait to see your final BM dress decision, last time I saw you, you were struggling for color! We need to get together soon!
