She Surprised us with her early arrival!

Surprise! Isabelle Victoria came real early. I had a battle with placenta previa and was hopsitalized for a little less than a week. Just couldn't hold out and she was born at 29 weeks, weighing just 1 pound 9 1/2 ounces. She is doing great at the NICU unit at Stony Brook Hospital. I will write more about our experience when I am feeling up to it. It is just hard because she is the cutest thing I have ever seen and she won't be able to come home for a while. She is being well taken care of and will grow strong enough to come home. All I have to say is: She may be small in size, but she is the QUEEN of cutie pies!

First of all - CONGRATULATIONS!!

Wow, Im glad she is doing so well. Under 2 pounds, I cant imagine how tiny she must be, but it sounds like she is getting wonderful care. God Bless her. I hope you have Isabelle home in your arms very soon.

Here she is! The nurse let me take a picture with the hood from the incubator up. She is breathing totally on her own and how with all the things off her face, you can see how gorgeous she is. Will keep you updated on her progress. Still haven't held her yet, they said when is reached around 1000 gms then it will be time for Mommy to hold her. I CAN'T WAIT .

Congratulations!! I have a friend who has a baby boy at Stonybrook. He's been there for some time (2 months +). Believe me, your baby is in the best place possible for a preemie. Her son was a little less in age/weight than your baby and he is doing awesome!
