At the Port Jefferson Country Club, in my paperwork it says that kids 13 and under are 1/2 off. Are they included to make the minimum # of people? Also, how many people did you have at each table? Did you have a table for the vendors, a kids table? Thanks!

Hi Melissa! Hope your planning is going well. We did not invite any children, so that issue didn't come up. We did 8 tables of 10 and 2 tables of 12. Mike and I sat at a sweetheart table in front of the windows and then the bridal party and their significant others were at the tables on either side of us. Since our group was rather small, we didn't double up the tables like they are shown in the diagram. We had a single row of 4 tables on either side of the dance floor. As far as the vendors went, I did not have a table for them with my guests. A separate location was set aside for them, but I never saw it. I think it may have been over by the bar in the restaurant area. Hope this helps a bit!

Our catering manager told us that discounted meals do not apply to the minimum. He also said that no plate will be discounted until the minimum is met. Hope this helps

Most places want you to meet the min. first and then they begin the discounts.
