Shelter Island!!

Hi, Anyone ever heard of a good place to have a reception on shelter Island or anywhere else in that 'Out East' direction that is not going to bankrupt us?

Hmmm, I think my sister mentioned a place to me one time. I'll have to ask her, since she's usually out there once a week appraising homes.

You could check out Ram's Head on Shelter Island. I looked into them for my wedding and they were about $135pp. There's also the Pridwin and Michael Anthony's. I'm booked at Gurney's for about $100pp. I've seen deals at the Crow's Nest in Montauk for $65pp, not sure what the includes. Good Luck

Thanks Guys! If you dont mind me asking what do you get at Gurneys for that price and what day of the week is your wedding on? Also how long since you booked it as I would like to get something for 2003!!!

Ok, the Rams Head in on Shelter Island is beautiful. Also, we stayed at the Olde Country Inn on Shelter and it was a wonderful place! If you would like more info, foram email me!

Isn't the Crows Nest the 3 day wedding? Beach party the night before, wedding reception day off, and brunch the next day. I also think they are offering a free honeymoon as well. I've never been there personally, but this sounds almost too good to be true...

Megan- I'm getting married on a Sat. in June. They only do one wedding a day so you can have anytime you want. The price is $95-$110pp depending on what entrees you pick. This includes one hr cocktail with about 10 hors d'eves. Then for the reception dinner, salad, appetizer(usually a pasta dish), entree, cake, and vieneese tray. You also get a night free at the hotel. I booked back in Jan. I would give them a call immediately if your interested, they probably have a few dates left. I've been to the Crow's Nest for dinner and it was Ok, but never for a wedding. That price does seem a little too good to be true but maybe worth checking out. They advertise it everywhere. Go to Gurney's website and you'll see all there food choices and get a better idea. If your still interested in Ram's head I'm sure I still have the info on them, I might be able to help you out there too. Just let me know if you have any more questions.
