I'm getting married at The Woodlands next Sept. and I'm getting ready to look for hotel blocks before I send out my STDs.
Did anyone use the Sheraton Four Points in Plainview??
Opinions?? It looks so nice on the website but I'm kind of turned off by the fact that it is literally right next to the LIE.
Any input (good or bad) would be greatly appreaciated!

Re: Sheraton Four Points -- Plainview
i used them as a block and also stayed there myself (and got ready there)
the outside looks run down and kind of ugly but inside, the rooms are beautiful. They are big and the beds are comfortable and every room has a plasma tv. A bunch of my friends enjoyed the indoor pool too. And the price was pretty good - $135 for a Saturday night in August!
I actually liked that it was so close to the highway - it was easy for the guests to get there. The view from the room was not exciting though, as you can imagine (we just saw a parking lot)

I used them - check out my review. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

I used them and the rooms were fine and the location wasn't really that noticable when you're in the hotel. It actually made transportation really easy too. The rooms were all nice and I saw alot of them going into some of my friends and families' rooms. The only room we had a problem with was our own suite. It smelled like B.O. and they said they'd steam the room to get it out but we came back and it still smelled. They ended up putting us in another suite after alot of 'convincing' on our part, comped us one night and charged a standard room rate for our 2nd night. I'm happy with how they resolved it but it was a hassle that we didn't really need the day before the wedding. It was $129/night and we got the late bar for $150.

im using them too. i actually like that its right off the LIE..wiill be very easy for people to find. the rooms are gorgeous and i'm looking forward to staying in the honeymoon suite. we also checked out the hilton garden acrosst he street....which looks nicer on the outside but they don't have a honeymoon suite and i liked the rooms at sheraton better.
