Sheraton Four Points Plainview

Has anyone used the Four Points Sheraton in Plainview for a block of rooms for their wedding? So far they have offered us the best value and seem to have the best options. I have yet to visit, but would like to get some feedback as to others' experiences.

i used them and stayed there the night before my wedding. they have really nice and large rooms and each one has a plasma tv.

also, it's right on the LIE service road so it's really convenient.

I was thinking about booking them for a block for our wedding. I went to visit them a few weeks ago and I thought the hotel was very nice!

The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and they gave me an unbeatable rate of $119 per night since FH and I are both starwood preferred guests but we decided against booking with them because I wasn't crazy about the fact that the hotel is literally right on the LIE (I looked at one of the rooms on the front side of the hotel and even with the double paned windows closed you could still hear the traffic on the LIE quite loudly). I also didn't like that they charge for shuttle service... regardless of whether or not you have a block there.

We've decided to continue looking and might end up at the Hilton (which is right down the road from the Sheraton Four Points)

Of course, this is just my opinion!! I've heard other brides' reviews about the Four Points and they have all been positive

Re: Sheraton Four Points Plainview

I just had my wedding a month ago and we used the Four Points Sheraton as the main hotel for our guests - they were great! The facility is nice and clean. The staff was super helpful.

We ultimately had about 30 rooms blocked and as far as I know, there were no issue with them. We provided OOT bags for the guests which were given out. We had the bridal suite - served it's purpose even though we only got about 4 hours sleep lol. We used the shuttle to get our guests to and from the hotel and reception hall. We paid to have the bar stay open late - it was a Sunday, so they said they could only keep it open until 2am, but since my guests were still awake and partying, the lovely bartender stayed open until 4am! We had a brunch in the Sag Harbor conference room the next day as well - they did a very nice job.

Only great things to say about them from me

ETA: My guests were actually very pelased that it was so close to the LIE because we had many family members coming from Westchester and New Jersey - it was very accessible and easy to find. As far as I know, no one had concerns about any noise, since everyone was at the reception during the busier traffic hours (6-11pm). HTH!

Thanks everyone!! Their rates were great and seemed to have the best offers! They are so convenient as well!

Did they open up more rooms as your block filled up?
