SHINGLES!!!! (and I don't mean on your roof!)

I have a case of shingles ON MY CHIN!!! (for those who never heard of it, it's a form of chicken pox!)

I feel like a freak! It's so gross looking and it's going to last a few weeks!

WAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michele I'm so sorry they are on your face and visible, but be grateful. I've had them twice on my torso and they are PAINFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darlene, how long before yours went away? Doc has me on Valtrex (anti-virals)........I hope they are gone before your wedding!

Umm, I caught them the second time within the first 48 hours, and they were no longer visible about 3 days later. The first time I got them I just thought it was a rash and didn't go to the MD right away. Big mistake! It took @ 2 weeks to clear up, but the pain went away after the first week on the medication (the pain was what got me to the MD).

yikes...hope they arent too painful...i had a case of them in college...i also that it was a rash but that stabbing pain told me otherwise...once on meds i think they cleared up somewhat quickly...dr gave me something to also apply on top of it...feel better

sorry my boss had them last week..... are you in pain cause he out for 3 days
