sooo i just emailed 2 photogs from Mexico to see if we can meet when we go in Sept

both emailed me back and their packages start at 4k!

just START! at 4k!

guess I will have to see how much money we save and if we can splurge on it

Thats INSANE!! At that rate, you could fly someone from here down there!!

Maybe look into someone from TX, their travel rate cant be that high!!

did you offer to pay for their trip in exchange for their services?

it may work. one of my friends did that...... they offered to pay for their air and hotel ( so it was kinda like a free trip for them) and they did the photography.

you would think it would be cheaper in mexico!!!

maybe they know that ppl are saving with a destination wedding, so they feel they can bump up the prices??

probably right about them charging more since it's cheaper down there to get married

But remember photos last forever

that does seem pretty high...my photog starts at 3500 and that's only for the digital prints too.

I am probably not the best person to listen to because FH and I said screw it, we want him and splurged on photog

That is way too much considering there are no albums or prints included.

I'd say the prices were fine if they came with ANY products, but that's just a little ridiculous.
