Shoe Dilemma!

Help settle the battle!!!

since we got engaged i said that whatever color the girls dresses are thats what color im going to dye my shoes.. thats just my personality.. a little background my junior prom i wore a yellow cinderella dress... i wore yellow nikes to match cuz i hate shoes and my date was 6'1 im 4'11... then my senior prom came around i wore a beautiful poofy teal gown with you guessed it.. teal flip flops.. so its kinda like my signiture thing to have so my girls dresses are HOT PINK and i want my shoes to be the same color..

mom says 'TACKY' you cant RUIN your dress like that

i say.. 'ITS MY WEDDING DAY I DO WHAT I WANT!!'

help settle the battle and please be honest! i dont want to look like a fool!

Do it!!! Who's even going to see your shoes? The photographer but only if you let him haha! I say make the look your own!!!! Sorry mom, haha.

i'm not sure, i kind of like the idea. there was an 07 bride who recently posted a review and her theme was black with white polka dots and she wore black shoes with white polka dots and it looked really nice.

i think that if people would expect it from you, then do it. i would try it on with your dress first and see if you like it.

i'm not sure if i would do it, but this is your wedding not mine lol

thanks girls.. i threw like a 2 year old hissy fit.. cuz everyone seems to have HUGE opinions and mines the lest that counts lately so this is the one thing i want! and i will FIGHT to the death on it!!

no the girls dresses are hot pink with black lace on the bodice so their wearing black shoes! so i though ti twould be cute to have pink shoes

i went to the wedding of my former HS soccer coach and she wore her SOCCER CLEATS under her dress...and it was the cutest thing ever, everyone LOVED it, and the photog thought it was great for pics!! so if you are wearing SHOES just in a different color, what is wrong w that?! we're talking this girl wore CLEATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm wearing bright red shoes and my mom did flip out but the seamstress said 'better than red thigh high boots no?'

You can always appease your moms a lil bit by going with a satin shoe as its dressy enough to go with your gown
