I was just wondering if anyone went to Craft Shoes or Sandy's Shoes...I live in NJ right now, but I'm heading out to LI tomorrow for my fitting, so I wanted to see which place had a better selection...thanks!

Re: Shoe Stores - Sandy's / Craft
I have been to both, and I think Craft has more shoes. They have soooo many to choose from! And I think that whatever Sandy's has, Craft will too - but it may not be the other way around. Good luck!

I have been to both. They both have a HUGE selection! I got my shoes at Sandy's. The thing I liked about them is that they ask you if you're wearing stockings on your wedding day, and if you're not, they let you try the shoes on without those ped thingies! I had a great experience there, but the people at Craft are nice, also!

Re: Shoe Stores - Sandy's / Craft
I have been to Craft recently, and I didn't find anything I personally liked. I found the customer service somewhat lacking as well. The guy we had didn't want to help us to begin with, and when he did he made sure we knew that he would rather be doing something else... So...we walked out. Haven't tried Sandy's yet, but am planning to go in the next few weeks...

hmm...thanks girls...I think it's going to be a game time decision, depending on which way I'm heading back to NJ!
I went to RK Bridal this week and I was NOT pleased...kinda made me sad, cause I thought I would be able to find something there! And since I have my fitting tomorrow, it completely stressed me out...but, they said it's fine as long as I know the exact height I'm wearing...which I decided on a while ago, since fh is 6'4 and i'm 5'3 on a good day...it's like the Jolly Green Giant and Sprout

be careful with this. they told me the same thing as lillette's and I went in and got measured with 2.5 inch heels and when my dress came in it was too SHORT and i ended up getting 3/4 inch heels at Sandy's that i did not want. and they swore at first that it was my fault and that my heels must have been lower but i don't own any heels lower than 2.5 inches. in the end they took off the $100 they charged me for 'extra length/hollow to hem' so it's all good but just be very conscious of your heel height and make sure your dress won't be too short.
sandy's has a big selection. i didn't want dyables but i ended up with no choice and they were okay. good luck.

Thanks for the advice....I had the hollow to hem measuring done too...I went in and tried my dress on once already when it came in, just for fun, and shockingly enough it's the perfect length with 3 inch heels...so, that's what i'm going for...i'm just hoping i find once i like!

you can also get gorgeous ones that aren't dyables and are not typical wedding shoes. my original ones were badgley mischka and i loved them - gold and cream but i couldn't wear them because they were also 3 inches and too high.
