If you are in Suffolk, I recommend Casa di Mario in Patchogue and Varrone's in Sayville. They have nice shoes at reasonable prices.

I know it sounds crazy but I got mine at payless.
I went to the nice stores and found the shoes uncomfortable, found almost the exact pair at payless for $38 and they are totally comfortable!!
Pluss there is a $2 coupon to print online.
Don't think I'm out of my mind untill you go and see.
For shoes I'll only wear one day, $38 is the right price for me.

PS Different locations have different selections, call ahead.

Sandy's Shoes in Massapequa Park was great! They have tons of different shoes. Many look very similar, but once you start trying them on, you notice the difference, and believe me, you want comfortable shoes. You will be on your feet all day and night.

The sales lady there was great. She was helping several people all at once, and she always remembered which I had already tried. When it came time to having the girls' shoes dyed, we left the swatches with them so they could prepare the dye and have it ready for when the shoes were brought in, thus cutting down on the time the store actually needed for the dye process .. it's making the dye that takes the bulk of the time.

I had gotten a simple white pump, and had them put on an applique that was a perfect compliment for the dress. Of course, who really saw it, right? But I really loved the way they turned out. And if I wanted, I could choose to have the shoes dyed .. but I won't. They're my wedding shoes!

The prices at Sandy's are reasonable. They're on Sunrise Hwy, right across from the Massapequa train station.
