Did anyone buy their shoes a half size bigger for their wedding day? I heard it's a good idea since you'll be on your feet all day. Does anyone recommend doing this?

Re: Shoes
I didnt. To be honest with you after I got to the reception I changed into white sneakers. It was the best thing.

Re: Shoes
No, I didn't...but I did buy my shoes a long time ago and I've been breaking them in ever since...they feel much better on my feet then they did the first time a put them on...I'm hoping that before the big day comes I won't even feel them.

I didn't.
I have been wearing mine around the house with gym socks to break them in. Looks totally ridiculous but it's working!

Re: Shoes
I think its a bad idea, I know that shoes that are big on me can be even worse than shoes that are small because they allow my foot to move around and rub, hence causing blisters.
Best off just getting them early, and getting comfy ones, and just getting used to em.

i would probably get the right size and wear them everyday for 10 minutes until your wedding day. they should be broken in by then

Re: Shoes
I'm stealing an idea from one of my BM from way back in 7th grade - her bat mitzvah. She wore a beautiful white gown, nice white shoes. Once the party got started and everyone was dancing up a storm, she slipped into white satin slippers.
So for my ceremony into the reception, I'll wear shoes, then I'll put on these white satin slippers for dancing.
I got them at Kohl's for $18 but I bet you can find them cheaper online. I think they were Isotoner.
