SUPER important - unless you plan to change into flip flops or slippers.
I wore a 3' heel. I wear heels all the time, so I'm used to them. But I bought them a half size big and put gel insoles in them. I also had them professionally stretched. I wore them all day and night - halfway through I took the insoles out and they were like a whole new pair of shoes again (in fit). I didn't put my slippers on until the very last guest left.

I totally agree...shoes are SUPER MEGA important! I am a flip flop girl so I changed into them about half way in (I had havianas crystallized!) but honestly, I was in my shoes from 2:30 to 9pm. I was a dancing machine at our wedding so comfiness was key!
