Shoes - help!

I'm in love with these shoes by Peter Fox, but they are $285!!!! See attached shoe...

Any ideas as to where I can get nice, COMFORTABLE (fyi: payless hurts my feet) shoes. I have to get my hallow hem measurement done in the beginning of 2006.

Checked out Zappos.com

This is the only style I liked - thoughts?

I like the shoes you found at zappos. Very pretty. The $285 pair are nice also. Depends on what you want to spend!

Okay, went back to Zappos.com and read each of the customer feedbacks... most said that the shoes are so uncomfortable that they are returning them! Those shoes are only $100.95... so back to the original issue... I have a narrow size 6.5 and my feet always hurt - even in sneakers... I know it's only one day but my MOH said she got her very expensive wedding shoes at Peter Fox and she dyed them black after the wedding and has since worn them to other occassions. She said that as expensive as they are - they are VERY comfortable.

If my feet hurt I won't enjoy myself - I really don't plan on sitting and a 3 inch heel will make a huge difference in the way the dress fits if I take my shoes off during the reception.

always try Ebay! Good luck!

Ebay sounds interesting, I'm sure they have good deals on price, but how do you know that the shoe will be comfortable until you order it is my only concern? I have a feeling this will be a splurge because, I'd rather skimp on something else than end up with an uncomfortable pair of shoes. Stinks doesn't it... keep the suggestions coming though!

$285 is ALOT to spend on a pair of shoes you'll only wear once.....IMO....how about nine west or Nina shoes?

Re: Shoes - help!

Well, I found 2 more pairs more reasonably priced on bridalshoes.com and nordstrom.com. I just hate not trying them on. I would agree that $285 is a lot for a one time wear, but I'd probably dye them black and wear them again. Not like my feet are growing : )

You saw the other 2 options above, here's what else I found...

The first is Nordstrom's and the second is bridalshoes.com...

Re: Shoes - help!

So I went ahead and ordered the last pair... the one's from Bridalshoes.com for $44 plus shipping. I figure there's still a good amount of time to see if they are good or not and if not, send them back, get a refund and buy the $285 shoes : )

Wish me luck...

I'll have to wear them around my basement for a few days so FH doesn't see them - the ad on line said that they have suede pads and hours of comfort - so - we'll see... I can't deal with shopping in stores anymore, I'm a shop-online-junkie!

Re: Shoes - help!

Also keep in mind, as long as you know what size the heel you are planning to wear you can do the hollow-to-hem w/ out having your actual shoe. So if you are still unsure of your exact shoe come time for the measurement, you can just tell the salon what size heel you are probably going to use and they will give you a shoe to wear while they measure you for your dress.
