Shoes Shoes Shoes-Help

So I was talking to one of my Bridesmaids today about what shoes I wanted to wear. I really want a great pair of heals because they look great in the getting ready photos and I would like some height during the ceremony. At the same time I don't want my heals digging into the ground and ruinging the shoes during the photos at Westbury Manor and I also don't want my feet to be killing me.

I thought about getting a pair of flats after but how would that work with the alterations of the dress? I also don't want to be walking and tripping all over my dress! HELP!
