1.) Shoe salesman told me I MUST wear heels on wedding day. I have bad feet and just don't think I can make it 10 hours and don't want to change shoes midway through. He said heels make posture better and lift boobs and in 23 years he never sold a flat to a bride (he doesn't sell any flats though). Is this true? Do I have to wear heels? Can I just do a flat with a 1' heel instead? Ugh....
2.) Are short goves (to wrist) considered informal? Having formal wedding (but not black tie) and would like short. If they are not 'considered' formal enough, I'll just go without.
THANK YOU!! :)

Re: Shoes/Gloves Advice Please, :)
what an idiot.. you can wear whatever shoes you'd like..
what does your dress look like?
I think that the wrist length gloves would look beautiful and are not informal..
I was thinking of wearing a pair of lacy wrist length ones.. but am not sure yet..

Thank you for your encouragement and replies, :)
As for the shoes, all I'll say is the store is on the Upper East Side store. I decided to go with the Entrata Natalie flats on www.eweddingshoes.com.
This is my dress: http://www.christosbridal.com/ch14.html
I thought short wrist gloves would be very elegant and classy and not compete with the elaborate and beautiful beading at the top. I tend to agree with you, it's a matter of how everything comes together and looks and is about what we want.
Good luck and thank you!!

Suze, I agree with a posture comment, but I think if you feel more comfy with 1' heels you definitely should go for them... Just make sure not to slouch.
I doubt anyone is comfy dancing the night away in 4 inch heels
They start at size 3?!? Are these American shoes? :)

Re: Shoes/Gloves Advice Please, :)
When I was shopping for shoes I thought I wanted a very small heel, mostly since DH and I are practically the same height and I didn;t want to look taller than him in our wedidng pictures. But I tried on some 1 inch and shorted shoes and it just didn't feel right. There is something about being in the most beautiful gown of your life and wearing flat. It did not make me feel like I was looking my best. I got about a 2 1/2 inch heel and felt much better. JMO!

Re: Shoes/Gloves Advice Please, :)
Thanks all. If it weren't for my bad feet I wouldn't worry. The anxiousness just isn't worth it. But, I did buy the Cynthia Rowley's 'Suz' (match my name, too!) and can decide between them and flats at my fitting. I talked to groom-to-be about how he felt and he really advocated me being comfortable and going for flats. He really meant it, too. So...I'll buy a vampy pair of heels for him for when we get back to the hotel, :)
