I really don't like most of the clothes they are showing this year! I keep going shopping for events and end up not trying on anything! Its driving me nuts. I used to walk into Banana Republic or Jcrew and walk out with tons of bags now, nothing.
Yes, I felt this way, this week. I hate the clothes this season. The only things I really seem to like are from LL Bean and Eddie Bauer because they are just classic stuff.
I hate these strapless empire waist shirts or the same style with a halter. They are waaaaayyy to beachy for me.

I just read an article about them, saying that they can work for both young and old. They were saying that a young woman can wear them with a camisole or tank and a mature woman can wear them with a flowy blouse. I don't like them either. I prefer neat, crisp clothes. I may have been born in the 70's, but I don't really like the fashions.

I agree! I can't imagine my mom who will be 60 next month, wearing one. Both of us would look dumpy in them!

not dumpy, don't say that. but they are not designed for those who weigh more then 78 lbs.

I totally agree! I hope the same isn't true for fall clothes :( I haven't bought anything besides jeans and shoes in the longest time!

Re: Shopping Angst...
I'm having a hard time too... I'm a classic style, tailored suit kind of woman, I'm not into these crazy prints, they make me look huge! And the color combos, yuck!! brown, green and yellow, all on one blouse?? No thank you.
