I want to make appointments to try on some dresses, but I am unsure on where to go. Everyone is saying different places have different pricing. Can anyone tell me which stores are better to go to??
thank you!!!!!

Re: Shopping for Wedding Dress
there are tons of places.
Bridal Reflections (Carle Place, Massapequa and NYC) Kleinfelds Lilette's Helen's Paradise Bridal Wedding salon of Manhasset
really depends on what price you are looking to spend........for example massapequa bridal reflections has a lower starting point that that of NYC and CP. Wedding salon is on the expensive side

while I don't feel as strongly against them as Mor... I didn't get a great vibe when I went in there.
but I'll give my honest opinions of places I've been to:
Bridal Elegance in Huntington- thats where I purchased my dress- honestly, I love them there.. they are BRUTALLY HONEST, some people don't like that.. but I do.
Village Bridal in Babylon- I loved, but didn't find anything I liked. the girls left me to take care of myself, but offered their services several times. but on a later date they were VERY rude to a family member of mine.
Centereach Bridal- I tried on ONE dress there.. and the woman didn't help me much. I had tried on a lot of dresses at that point, and she just seemed uninterested in helping me. so we left
Bay Shore Bridal- I liked it there, but didn't get that 'welcoming' feeling.. but I did go back again with my mother for her dress and they were really nice to me even though I didn't buy from them.
RK Bridal in the City- its crazy, but I highly suggest going there.. it might be overwhelming though.
the wedding center of commack- they were nice at first, letting us come in without an appt.. but they got far too pushy too fast.

Re: Shopping for Wedding Dress
Personally I love Paradise Bridal in Patchogue and Village Bridal in babylon. They were hands down my two fave stores. Charisol Bridal in Queens on Northern Blvd. is another good store though it's on the small side.
I wouldn't go to RK Bridal unless you have some specific dresses in mind to try on or at least a specific designer! Good luck!

Re: Shopping for Wedding Dress
RK Bridal can definitely be a little overwhelming.. esp the one the city but my best friend got her wedding dress from them as well as our bridesmaids dresses and they are absolutely gorgeous! Plus the people there are very nice!

Re: Shopping for Wedding Dress
Maybe you were just dealing with someone having a bad day because I actually really liked Princess Bridals! My Maid of Honor got her dress there too and introduced me to them. They have beautiful dresses and can order you anything else that you see on online or in any other store. They are also VERY flexible with prices because I have 11 bridesmaids in my party and was able to use that to my advantage when ordering their dresses. Chuck is my favorite person there, so I would ask for him when you got here! :

I have not done my review yet because I am waiting for pictures, but once I do Paradise Bridal is getting a big fat 'F'!!!!!
I will go into detail when I do my review but I really wish I ordered my dress from Village Bridal in Babylon.

Re: Shopping for Wedding Dress
Bridal Reflections Village Bridal Lilette's Paradise Bridal Bridal Suite of Bay Shore Helen's
ETA: ...and then after you find your dress call Burton's in Melville and if they carry the designer I guarantee you'll save a couple of hundred bucks on the price.

Yeah- I found my dress elsewhere, then called Carol at Burton's and she got me a great price on it (several hundred dollars less than the lowest price I had found). Ordered my Paloma Blanca two weeks ago!

I purchased mine from Fantasia Bridal in Port Jeff. I love it there!! Alicia is awesome and they have a great Maggie Sotterto collection if that's one you are considering. The prices are fair and honestly the whole staff has been wondeful!!!

Re: Shopping for Wedding Dress
I got my dress at Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point and I've LOVED my experience with them. The are so helpful and honest and I can't say a bad thing about them. One of my girlfriends got her dress there also and have the same positive experiences. I actually went there w/ one of my BMs and she go her dress at Bridal Reflections and said that the women at my place are SOOO much nicer than the ones at her place. I highly recommend Fantasia! Good luck to you!

David's wants all the money for some reason (at least that is what I was told)
Most other stores want 50% before they will order the dress.

I COMPLETELY agree! My friend got her gown there last year and we got our bm dresses there, and they were HORRIBLE. So rude and unfriendly!! They sounded like it was a burden to them every time I called to ask if my bm dress was in!

Re: Shopping for Wedding Dress
I got mine from Lillette's in Bellmore. They were pretty good there. We'll see how alterations goes though
