Ok... so I was set on definitely doing shorter BM dresses, either tea length or cocktail length. My wedding is in July so I thought it would be appropriate but now I booked my date and it is a Saturday Night (church is at 3). People are telling me I should definitely do long BM dresses because sat. night is traditionally fancier. maybe I will have to do satin short dresses instead of like chiffon? that could help dress them up.
I know its up to me and shouldnt matter what everyone else says(the line i've been hearing every day! haha)..... but what is your opinion.... does it really matter?? what are you doing for yours??

Re: Short BM dresses for Sat. Night??
i don't think you have to do long dresses just bc its a saturday night.
i wore tea length for 2 weddings i was in...both saturday evening weddings in the summer. I think it still looked formal bc we were all done up...if you want shorter dresses then def go for it!

Re: Short BM dresses for Sat. Night??
i personally like long dresses BUT i think if you do a dressier fabric (like you mentioned chiffon) it'll be fine, it is in the summer so i think it goes better with that, and tea length might go better with your RH (or theme) than long dresses

I don't think it matters at all, I hate when people label it that way and you have to revolve everything around it bc it's a Sat. night, who cares. If my wedding had been the Sat night like I wanted I'd still be doing shorter dresses. Leave it up to you!

Re: Short BM dresses for Sat. Night??
I must agree. I, like JNA2010, personally like long dresses better. But for a summer wedding you can ABSOLUTELY have tea-length! I'm not sure I'd do cocktail - that might be a little too short. But tea-length, no problem! As a matter of fact, I'm getting married in June on a Saturday night, and one of my BM's asked if they were wearing long or tea-length. I told her I prefer long, but she wanted tea-length.
