I am not but I feel that you did not receive any replies to your post. As for your short wedding dress I think it is different and very cool. If I am not mistaken, I believe your dress is tea length and you are going for the vintage look. Am I correct? Post your dress I am so curious to see what it looks like. After reading your post about the vintage look I 2nd guessed my own dress thinking maybe I should of went that direction.

I'm not but I think the idea is really cool. There's no rule that you HAVE to wear a long dress. It's different and will definitely make you stand out. I'd love to see the dress too!!

Re: short dresses
I love the tea length wedding gowns! I thought about getting one originally but ended up buying my dress on craig's list very cheap and it was floor-length. Can you show us a pic?

and yes, i think a more vintage 50s feel with hair, accessories and shoes are kind of necessary with that dress

OMG!! Your dress is beautiful!!!! I love it! Adorable! Do not doubt your dress for a moment. Are you doing a pill box with a birdcage veil or a pretty hair accessory with a birdcage veil? Your dress is so different than what everyone else is wearing. Very unique. I can't wait to see your wedding pictures!

Re: short dresses
I was seriously considering going the short dress route...I wasn't finding anything that I absolutely loved in the floor length dresses, but then I stumbled onto my dress and fell in love.
But short dresses are really more my style and if I hadn't found that dress I probably would have joined you in being a short dress wearing bride!

I 110% AGREE!!!!!! It's your wedding. I think it's a GREAT idea if that's the look you are going for. A friend of mine did this and it turned out very nice.

Re: short dresses
I'm wearing a tea-length dress with 'watermelon' pink shoes that will match my bridesmaids ribbon around their dresses.
I'm really short (4'7') and I looked like I was being swallowed alive in the other gowns, plus, they were all really heavy. The tea length on the other hand is super comfy and definitely more fun for me!
