short hair styles

ok, so i've had short hair for years and this growing out my hair for the wedding thing isn't working and i REALLY want to chop it all off. right now it's just above/at shoulder length with side swept bangs and i hate it. unfortunately all the wedding styles i've seen that i like are long so i'm torn. do i cut my hair off, but happy with the way i look everyday, and maybe have a tougher time on my wedding day with the style; or do i keep it long, be unhappy with the way i look from day to day, but have more choices as to style on the day of my wedding? i have no idea.

i really hate the way it looks right now and wouldn't mind having it short on my wedding day, but i have yet to see a short, elegant hair style i like. i just don't wanna be stuck with a 'whatever' style my day of. (i think my fear is i had short hair for my prom and the style turned out awful mainly because of the stylist's incompetence, but still...)

so yeah, suggestions and/or pics would be awesome if you have them. tia! =0)

I tend to have super short hair, and grew it out just a tiny bit for the wedding. Here are a few pics...1) my e-pic, so you can see about the length my hair was for my wedding (long in front, super short in back), 2) a few of my hair trial showing the style I didn't pick, but thought was pretty (ignore the no makeup pics, hehe), 3) my wedding and the style I went with and loved! are extensions an option for you? i tried growing my hair out but b/c its so thin, it looks horrible! and i got to the point where i have to keep it shorter or else ill be totally unhappy with the way i look for the next year!

i'd rather not get extensions... it's just not 'me,' you know?
