shot glasses or plastic shot glasses

shot glasses or plastic shot glasses

So instead of champagbne toast, we're going to do tequila shots for our toast.

Will it be tacky if we use plastic shot glasses for guests. I mean they're gonna leave them on the table anyway.

Maybe I should ask my rh if they will provide them

Really they don't do shots at all? Or it's not customary?

Every wedding that I've ever been to, they won't do shots. They're not allowed for some reason. I went to a wedding at East Wind last week, and they told us no.... then the lady snuck us shots, but, put them in regular glasses.

Definitely check with your RH about it....

A lot of RH have a 'No shot' policy - probably to prevent people from getting too drunk too quickly....

Also, if you are going to do a shot of tequila, maybe have an option - like tequila or champagne, JMO but I can't picture most of the ladies (especially the older set) willing to take the shot. So if they have a choice, they can still participate. Also, make sure to provide a lime or some sort of chaser....

we are having an outdoor engagement party and we had to buy plastic toasting glasses and i feel like it looks sooooo tacky :( but what would we do with 90 champagne glasses? lol.....we are just going to throw them out after the night is over....

Yea that's what I was thinking. half of a shot if they want or use their own drink. In my culture it's customary in my culture, that's why I want to do it.

Also a lot of people don't drink champagne anyway, I think it's a waste

You could also just have a wine-ish glass, with the shot..... that might work, but, make sure you tell people it's Tequila and not champagne!!!

OOOO!!! You know what else might be REALLY cute, if your RH allows...

Have whichever glass you're using for the shot on the table, empty. And, right before the toast, have the waiters come around to the tables, with one of those metal drink mixers filled w/ tequila, then they can have it cold!!! You can definitely fit 10-12 shots in one of those metal mixers (they might be a little smaller shot than normal... but, I think that would be so cute.)

what a great idea!!!
If your RH allowes shots i think that would be adorable and so different!!

Maybe if your RH is like most and has a no shot policy they will make an exception for one special one.. you should def. ask them

I would also go with glass raher than plastic. HTH
