Ok, so lately I've been debating the date. November 1st, i love it, it's got meaning, but i don't know about the weather. I think I rather do it in earlier. Hmpf! I don't know. If I'm having this much trouble on a date, I can only imagine this planning.... God help me!!!!!

I think you should just go w/ the date that has meaning. Any date you pick can have temperature out of the norm. I'm getting married in september and some days in september are freezing and sometimes it's hotter than days in july!

Don't worry about the weatherwho knows it may even be warmer on your wedding day than mine. WE're geting married in early June where it tends to be cool & rainy... However FH loves the date & wants it to be our anniversary date, so even though all the weddings we've gone to in the past 4 years in early June that it rained, since it's important to FH to be maried then that's our day..

Re: Shottt
What about the weather don't you like? Are you afraid that it'll be too cold or too rainy? My date is a week before yours and we would have gone with your date but it was already booked. After doing much investigation about the weather for end of October/Early November I've found that it's at the tail end of Hurricane season so you don't have to worry too much about rain and the average temp is in the high forties/low fifties. It's a little nippy, but there's always a good chance of it being seasonably mild. With your date, you also have the best chance for peak fall color. I don't know if that's what you were going for, but since I wanted a wedding in the fall I tried to pick dates that would be during peak season on LI. End of Oct/early Nov is peak foliage. I don't think you'd have anything to worry about, because if you did, we'd both be in trouble HTH
