i think they shoudl retest these old geezers once they are eligible for medicare.

i had a patient parrallel park infront of my office when i 1st started working here. he was strugggling!!! no idea he was coming in the office. watching him for 10 min.. he finally gets in a spot. i take him into the exam room. i walk back 2 min later.. and hes UNSCREWING HIS LEG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES you should definitely be concerned.

I want to start an organization that does something about elderly people driving. I think that once they pass a certain age (60-65) they should have to retake their driving test.

There are statistics out there that in 2-3 years, due to the baby boomer generation, there will be more deaths caused by elderly drivers than drunk drivers!!!!!
Yet it is something you never hear about.

OMG!!!!!! That is so wrong!!

I have seen similar things when I used to work in CVS pharmarcy. People asked me to read things to them, that were extremely large and clear... people would shake uncontrollably... and they always had car keys in their hands.
People need to realize that a car is a weapon and should not be taken lightly!!

ITA but i was having a convo about this exact topic last night with a co-worker and when i suggested that ppl over a certain age should have to take the test again OR ATLEAST AN EYE EXAM!, she said that would be 'discrimination'.....so she suggested that it should be the law that when ur license expires every 10 years u should have to take the written and an eye exam again....ITA with that suggestion. i'd vote for it! sometimes it's scary driving behind the old lady who cant see over the steering wheel!!!!!
