Should have married a

VET!! I wish, brought my cat who is 19 years old and has an overactive thyroid to the vet on Saturday and $540 later he finally has gained two pounds back. The medication is finally working. My FH is having a heart attack on the money I spend on him. He is not really fond of Scruffy (cat's name). He is allergic to him. I spend $150 a week on food for him, every 3 months $500 on vet bills and $112 a month on medication for him. He keeps on comparing the money I spent on the cat to our wedding. Always saying this could have been for the flowers or for the lims, etc.

It is driving me nuts!!!! He just doesn't understand how important my cat is to me!!!

I know what you're going through. I recently had a very expensive vet trip for my bunny. Thats your baby though, so you gotta do what you gotta do (at least thats the way I see it)!

I can totally relate, at my house we have two cats. One cat has Epilepsy and we have to give him medication twice a day and bring him for blood work every six months to keep getting refills of his prescription.

Glad to hear that scruffy is doing better!!!!!

Fh and i just got a puppy and I know exactly how you feel. Some people critique me because they say I treat him as if he is human, i think giving anyone or an animal the best you can offer is the best thing to do. In my culture dogs are kept outside and you feed them the scraps of you dinner, this is America and I have intentions of doing such. Regardless of the cost of things, the health and my family and I (including my dog) comes first! Glad to hear scruffy is doing much better!
