I'm not sending out STD because both sets of family and friends are local, and most people already know when our wedding is. The questions is, should I wait and send out the hotel info with the invites, or should I make up small cards with the info to pass out to our friends. We live in White Plains so I would guess that at least half of our friends, if not more, will want to book rooms.
We were presented with the same situation. I sent emails, had the parents make calls and send emails to the people who will def need hotel rooms, such as close family members and friends, and supplied them with all the info to do it now.
If it's possible, I think you should send out an info pack...I wish I had done that
we are not either... everything is becoming out of control... my mom sent out little notes in our announcements because we got our announcements printed before we had our date
We didnt do STDs either. We have the hotel info on our weddingchannel website. Then i just tell people to look on there (plus we had our website on our announcements)

have your bridesmaids include info about your wedding website with the bridal shower invites and include all the travel info there - this way they can just print whatever they need
