Should I?

So i have insomnia which has lead to discover a talent for baking. Ive baked for my company and a few outsiders.
I have to admit, I am pretty good..... everyone is telling me I should save the money and make my own wedding cake. I think it would be really amazing to be able to take credit for and I would love it, but im afraid it will add un-needed stress.

Any thoughts?

i wouldnt do it...you are going to have so much to do the days before your wedding, you will drive yourself mad trying to make your own wedding cake!!! dont dont dont do that to yourself!!

Being a baker myself, it is something i would never take on. You are going to be soo stressed on the days beforehand i wouldn't add more stress, let the RH take care of it

oh plus your hall probably includes it in the price so you may as well use it

i agree. its something that will just cause stress. its not a dyi that you can do way in advance when you aren't stressed. it has to be done in those few days before and i think it would make you stress more. maybe you can do a fancy type cake for the rehersal dinner?

i agree with everyone, that would be too much stress and too much to handle right before your wedding!

absolutely NOT! i am a very good baker, actually have certificated in cake decorating and I would never make my own cake. you will be too stressed and its probably the last thing you would want to do on your wedding day.

Dont do it!! You never know what could happen...imagine trying to find a baker last minute in case something happened and you couldnt bake the cake?

I think it would be a very sweet idea but.... probably way too much stress when you really get into it. I think you will want the few days before the wedding to be as relaxing as possible!

If you want to add your own touch you could make cookies or cupcakes as favors or a small grooms cake!

Def let someone else worry about making your cake. You see the stress that the bakers on those shows go through for making a wedding cake I wouldnt want that. You will be stressed engough and remember its your day for people to make you feel like a princess

Wow, pretty unanimous... I guess im just torn. Ive done wedding, shower, bday cakes before so I know nothing will do 'wrong' and yes its stressful, its also a stress relief ya know?

I guess its also that I know what Im getting. I know what it tastes like etc.

I have time to think about it, but I will definitely consider all of you suggesting against it.

i was going to agree about it being too stressful...but if you have done wedding cakes before and think it won't be a problem then go for it!

maybe RH will throw in something else if you aren't using their cake?!
