I booked my 8 piece badn a few months ago and my mom wanted to see them perform. We went to a showcase last night and they had 9 members performing. I realized that the piece missing from my contact is the trumpet. I called today and they said it would be $500 to add it. Do you think it's worth it, or should I just skip it. My FH thinks we've already spent enough on the music and we shouldn't spend any more.
I really want it, but part of me knows I'm being a bit of a brat. I just like the way the band sounded with the extra brass, there's currently only a saxaphone player that also play clarinet. We have live music throughout the reception, classical trio for ceremony, calypso band for CH, and the 8 piece for the reception. My FH insists that noone will notice, and they probably won't, but I will. We've been really good with cutting corners to make other things less expensive, because I knew the music was one thing I was willing to spend a decent amount of $$ on. I may just wait and see where our budgets at when the time comes closer and make a decision then.
I understand a budegt, believe me, we worked ona tight budget, but as you go along, you will find things that you dont mind splurging on, I love a trumpet, good luck on whatever you decide!!! It will all work out and you will have everything you need and want!
No! That's a lot of money just for a trumpet. Or, will they be adding an extra band member? Even still, if the extra band member is only going to play the trumpet, than I don't thinks it's worth it. Good Luck, whatever you choose!
