Should I be concerned???

Should I be concerned???

I talked with my FMIL tonight and she told me she found her 'dress' for the wedding. She is wearing off-white palattzo? pants and a mauve top. My dress is diamond white and my MOH, my only attendant is wearing hyacinth which is a purple-ish color.

As I see it, she is wearing a combo of my dress and my sister's. I really don't care about this stuff but I really feel she is going to look odd. I can't say anything since we have a shaky relationship at best. She is the type that is ALWAYS telling others how to do things the right way. Don't you think she would be concerned about the color choices? I told her the color of my sisters dress too.

hmmm, IMO it is strange that she would pick 2 different colors for her 'pants suit'. Nothing wrong with wearing a 2 piece ensemble, but typicaly for a wedding (esp. mother of the groom) you would think they would be teh same color.

I wouldn't be happy about that myself.

hmmm tough one. In general think it is a poor choice for a FMIL to wear off white. But it could end up looking good.

Can you have your FH talk to her about it?

It does sound like a weird outfit. It's great that you aren't freaking out about it. Maybe it will look better than you think. It sounds like you're right about not saying anything.

Don't be overly concerned. You have enough to be concerned about without worrying about FMIL's color choices. And if she looks odd, trust me, it will only reflect on her, not you, where most of the focus will be anyway, because you're going to be gorgeous!

I refuse to freak out about it even though I am unhappy in general with her choice. She has to wear it thougth and she said she had a hard time finding something she liked. I know my mom did too. But who knows, it may end up looking beautiful. You never know...

I just decided it wasn't worth it. I just read Kristen's post and frankly, this is really silly. I just want her to be happy on the big day. What she wears is not a big deal.

Thanks girls! And remember some of the stuff that worries us really isn't a big deal. I just want everyone to be happy and have a good time.
