Should I be concerned?...(photography q.)

Should I be concerned?...(photography q.)

If the photographer we met with and reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally like doesn't have a 'studio' location per se? He lives about 20 minutes from us and met us in the middle for our meeting but I was wondering what you girls thought?

I feel like all aWEDDING photographer needs is a camera and a computer... a studio location is for portraits and all of those other services...

This vendor is on the knot so I am sure there is validity to his service.

Obviously, we would sign a contract and all that stuff but still....

I want to you what you guys think.
TIA!

I don't think you should be concerned.

To be honest I met with about 10 photographers and only 1 of them had a studio (and he was the one that I liked least). The photographer I ended up hiring did not have a studio (our first meeting was at a Starbucks in the City) and he is the most professional, sweetest guy. I couldn't be happier with the pics he took of my wedding (some teasers in my album).

I say go with your gut. If its a photog you LOVE and you met him and got a good vibe and love his pictures then you should go for it. Just because they have a studio doesn't make them better than someone who doesn't have a studio. IMO

The photographer we booked does not have a 'studio' either. She runs it out of her home. She'll also be traveling to us from Staten Island!

No I wouldn't be concerned at all as long as his work is beautiful you will be fine. We met out photographer at his home but loved him and booked him.

No, I wouldn't be concerned, especially if they are an LIW vendor.

I wouldn't based a decision on the fact if this person has a studio or not. Plenty Photographers, videographer etc.. work from home or travel for appt it reduces overhead. I would request recommendation from previous brides if you really like this photographer.

I wouldn't be concerned, as long as you have a contract. Many vendors work out of their homes as to reduce or eliminate costs.

Thanks girls.... what a sigh of relief...
I was trying to convince my parents that it wasn't absurd and in trying to do so I think started to doubt it myself...

I guess my other real concern with this vendor is that I cant find anyone that has used them before or any reviews online.... we LOVED him and his work and his prices were reasonable....

making progress slowly but surely...
