I can totally understand why you are upset and I would be to. But, it's the championship game. Like Jessi said, if he's been active all season it would totally suck to miss this big game. If it were just a reg game, and he still wanted to go I'd then be pissed off. It sucks that his game had to fall in the same day :-/ Things like this have happened with FH and I before.

Should I be mad or SHOULD I BE MAD????
I would be annoyed! Has he thought about how he would feel if one of his groomsmen said that he couldn't make the rehearsal dinner because he was going to a softball game. If there's a way that he can do both, like show up a little late, then I wouldn't be as annoyed, but still, family comes first.

FH plays basketball on 2 different leagues (3-4 games a week) and let me tell you, there isn't a chance in hell he'd miss a championship unless it was a dire emergency. And I'd be just as upset as you, BUT I would also take into consideration that this is with his boss- and I'm sure you don't want him to be on his boss's bad side.
Is he a groomsman? I agree with the PP about asking your brother. I'm sorry you're dealing with this....you're not the only one, believe me!!!

Also think about how miserable he will be at the dinner. If it was my situation, and I told dh to come and skip the game, he would pout and not enjoy the night which would then make me not enjy the night. So if it would be easier to let him go so you both can be happy, that might be worth it

It's tough. I've had to make that call for a few things and even though I might not like it, I usually choose the family over social event.
BUUUUT, it's the championship game... if he's been active the whole season, and it's a 'work' thing I would probably hate it, but understand if he went. It's a tough call.
I'd say it's really your brother's call. If he understands thenI'd say let FH do his thing. That's just my opinion. Kind of stinks either way.
This!!

I'm sorry, but family is family. And a rehearsal dinner of such immediate family definitely comes before a softball game, championship or not.
