I know my wedding is in 6months but I gave a call to Macy in Lake Grove to see if they knew when my dress was coming in and they said its not coming in until september and i ordered it in Jan.??? Am I being just a nervous nelly or should I be worried ya think?

My dress came in this month and my wedding is in July.... I wouldn't be too nervous. Wouldn't hurt to give them a ring and see if they know when it should be arriving!

Don't worry, that's plenty of time. Plus, it might come in early! I ordered a Demetrios dress (not in NY though) and was told it would be in by the end of May and it was in in the middle of April.

In my opinion i think you are being a little nervous. I ordered my dress is Noverember last year. Now i am getting married in about 4 weeks. I was told April and it came in much sooner now I have fittings NOT in till MAY 31st. Everything will work out...Breath

I've heard that a lot of designers make and ship dresses so that they arrive 2 months before your wedding date. So that's perfect timing.
On another note, like an above poster experienced, my dress was due in June and came in on May 3rd, so hopefully yours will be in early too!

It's OK. I don't actually think with many manufacturers that it has to do with when you ordered the gown, it has to do with your wedding date. It doesn't really take them six months to make a gown, right? They know you need the gown by a certain date for alterations, so they make sure you have it.

It normally takes somewhere between 4-5 months for a dress to arrive. Being that you ordered in Jan. You have plenty of time. It would probably arrive before the expected date....so don't worry!

Some stores delay to order dresses when they know your wedding is far off. Also the designer will delay sometimes because you are not a priority. When I ordered by Eve of Milady, one store said it takes up to 10 months and I needed to hurr up or I could not order. Basically i ordered at the end of January and it came in May because I told them my wedding is on June 15.

Hey Date Twin! I wouldn't be nervous. I know depending on the designer, there are different delivery dates.

don't be nervous i got my dress at the same place i ordered it in oct last year they said it wuld be in june but i got the call this past monday. so it was in sooner then they thought.

You will be fine. I ordered mine in July and it only came in in April and I just had my frist fitting last weekend.
