should I be upset??

should I be upset??

I called a photographer that my venue highly recommends. They don't require us to use their house vendors but they do give us a list and encourage us to use them. So I am currently searching for a photographer and called up one on the list. I spoke to the guy on the phone for a while and he was supposed to email me some album examples and a price quote based on what we spoke about. This was on Friday...he said he would have to it me before the end of the day. On Monday still nothing....so I called today and the secretary says he’s on the phone and takes my email again so he can 'resend' it she says. Still nothing!! I mean seriously I'm getting annoyed I don't understand why they would do this don't they want my business?? I guess I'll have to move on and keep looking but I will be sure to tell me hall about this!!

Thanks for listening :)

It depends on how much you like this photographer honestly.

Speaking from the POV of someone who works with customers and deals with email all day, email is not a reliable means of communication for several reasons.
It gets bounced back, disapears into the world wide web, wrong email addresses get put in, and to be quite honest, in the hustle and bustle of the day it's easy to forget to send an email, no matter how bad you may want the client's business.

If you can find the time it may be better to head to the studio and see some images first hand and talk in person, or at the very least call again and tell them that you'd like to speak to the person you originally spoke to b/c you're interested but the lack of or poor communication is making you question whether you should move on.

Who knows, you may be able to get something thrown in for your troubles, the company I work for does this when we think we're going to lose business due to a communication issue.

to me, if the vendor shows unreliability in the consultation and booking stage, i'm done. that's the last thing i need to deal with on my wedding day.

I would just think of my wedding day, if he's not calling me back now, is he going to show for my wedding? GL!
