Should I be worried?
Okay, here's the deal. I ordered my dress the first week of February. They told me it would be in the first week of July. I checked back the last week of June. They told me it would be in the second week of July. Then, I called just over a week ago. They said that it would be there 'soon' and they'd call me when it came in. My mom called the same day to make an appointment for her fitting and she mentioned my dress and asked if they had any info about when it would be coming in. They said they had the manufacturer on the other line trying to get a ship date from them. Well, now it is August 1st, my wedding is less than 2 months away and no call yet! I am really making myself crazy thinking about what I'd do if the dress doesn't come in on time. My stomach is in knots right now! Do you guys think I should be concerned or am I just freaking out over nothing?

Re: Should I be worried?
I think its natural to be worried about it, but we hear stories like this all the time - aout dresses being late. Too late now, and i got my dress off the rack anyway, but I guess this is why I'veheard to always lie to the sales people and tell them that your wedding is like 6 weeks before it really is. I'm sure it will work out, good luck!

Re: Should I be worried?
I ordered my dress in Feb. also and it just came in last week. It was an Eve of Milady...who is your designer? I've heard certain designers take longer.I've heard you can call the manufacturer direct, but I never tried that.
Ask them again what the ship date was. Once they have that date...it should come in fairly soon. That's what happened to me.
I was freaking too, so you're not alone! Try calling. the manufacturer direct...it can't hurt.
Either way...these places have to realize that we paid a lot of money for our gowns and we do get nervous as it gets closer! They could be a little better about giving us the right information!

Re: Should I be worried?
I don't think you're freaking out over nothing - of course it is completely natural to be worried!! But, I think you will have your dress in time for alterations and what not before the wedding. I ordered my dress the same time as you, and was told it would be in the same time as you, and now it won't be in till August either. Remember, the bridal salon has a reputation to protect, and I'm sure they want you to be happy too. You've brought it to their attention and I'm sure they'll take care of it. I would continue to call so they know you are on top of it. Did they tell you what the manufacturer said regarding shipping dates? Try not to worry - it will be here shortly!! Good luck!!Welcome New Vendors
