Re: should i be worried?
NO!!!! I am friends w/ 2 sisters both under 5' and I think one is about 105 & the other only sees 100 when she's pregnant. The 105 has 4 children & the samller sister has SEVEN!!!!! You will be fine!!!

Re: should i be worried?
My gf is 5'1' (barely) and 105 pounds (after a big meal) Anyway, she has 4 beautiful, healthy children. So, no, IMO you shouldn't be worried about your weight and getting pg!!

Re: should i be worried?
I just had a baby four months ago. I am almost 5'2' and weighed 106 just before pregnancy. I gained 29 pounds and felt great. It also has nothing to do with your pelvis size. You can deliver v aginally if you want. My daughter was small and I had her with no episiotomy or tears. Best of luck when you TTC.
Edited to correct weight.

All I can say is I wish I was your weight. My friends had ZERO problems and they were both under 100lbs.

Re: should i be worried?
Sonia, I asked my gyno about ceasarean.
Basically, he said it all depends on the size of the baby and the hips of the mom... According to him, an 8lbs baby will be a challenge to deliver ******lly for someone petite.

Re: should i be worried?
It is not true. See my post above. One other thing my dr. has seen (based on experience, not scientific study) is the larger your feet are, the larger your bones tend to be. If you wear a large shoe for your size, then she would say your chance of cesarean goes down. I recently saw a totally natural 'at home' birth on TV. The baby was over 10lbs. and the woman was of average size. It was not her first child though. There are many ways to decrease your chance of a c-section. Read as much as you can about it.
