I dropped the main bunch on Friday and I did it at the East Meadow post office. One family lives in Hicksville and my BM lives in Uniondale. They have yet to receive it. My BM's parents got it though. I called the post office directly and I was told that within Long Island mail takes at least 1 day, 2 days the most. Should I stress??

Re: Should I be worried about invites?
I wouldn't be too worried....mail is screwy as it is, plus I'm sure the holidays have them working a little slower.....
If by this Friday they haven't received the invite, then I'd say time to worry!

I agree, give it till Friday and see what happens. Things get slow with the holidays too.

I wouldnt stress, my invitations got all screwed up, each post office has their own wierd system, I had people even living in the same town get them a week apart!!!

Alicia that is what bothers me. My BM's folks gets it but she doesn't. And they live in the same household?? I will give it till Friday. The mail system sure is weird.. Right now I have my mom and FH will ask his mom to start calling around to see who got it and who hasn't.

Re: Should I be worried about invites?
I wouldn't worry when we did our e-party invites and our e-party thank yous - our friends in Middletown, NY and in NYC got their invites in 1-2 days but many of our LI people didn't get theirs for 1-1/2 weeks!
