Should I be WORRIED and FREAKING OUT!!!!!!!

Okay, I applied for a passport back in the FEB.
In April I received a letter stating that the birth certificate I sent in was not the correct one.(My fault, but I wish when I handed it to the person in the PO they would of told me)

Anyway, I called the state and then sent in the correct one. I asked on the phone if it will be here in time for my wedding. They stated, yes on the phone.

Now, what I'm concerned about is....How am I going to get my marriage license without my Birth Cert??

Depending on which office you go to, you'll only need your license. Not all of them require two forms of ID.

You wouldn't happen to know which office excepts a license?

Are you planning to go in Nassau or Suffolk?

Suffolk. But, if there is one in Nass that takes only Licenses that would be fine too.

You can bring another form other than the Birth Cert. Check the smithtown town hall... I know they had 3 choices

You can bring your baptismal certificiate. I just checked - all of the town offices will accept it as a second form of ID.

If you go in to City Hall in Manhattan you do not need your birth certificate.

Maybe you can order another birth certificate just to be safe. It should only take a few days to get the new one.

Honey, you can order a new birth certificate and have it over-nighted!!

Where were you born? If you go the town you were born in they should have your BC on file and you can get another copy quickly from them.

We got ours in Manhattan and I brought ours with us and we totally didn't need them. You need the info on it (i.e where you were born, etc) but if you know that, a license should be fine.....

Where were you born? Usually you can get a duplicate (DH did this a few years ago) the same day if you wait for it.

The one in Hempstead excepts just the license.
