Also look at the Martha Stewart collection at Macy's. She had some great stuff. I'm registered for one of her bedding collections.

I know! I have never spent that much on bedding before!

my brother and sister in law got a set that was very similar to the first set. The one they got was dry clean only. a week later they spilled something on it, took it to the dry cleaners, it was never the same again. All the batting in the middle had fallen to the bottom. They ended up returning it, not sure if its the comforter or the dry cleaners that did it.

I know for me, machine washable is a definite must!

Always go with your first instinct. You picked those bad boys out for a reason, not to mention they're simply stunning and very chique! As Ben stiller said in Starsky & Hutch: 'Do it, Do it'

They're similar in a sence that they are modern and boxed cotton look. I like the one from Fortunoff. If it is that cheap from the regular price and you love it, i would just buy it! I go to the registry desk and get a print out every so often to see what is discoed, you can do that to! Good Luck...P.S. I say that because i bought my own bedding because i was scared it was going to be gone!!!

I would buy it while it is still on sale. I don't know how many times I've waited to make a purchase such as this and could have kicked myself when it was no longer available or I couldn't get some of the pieces. Just store it until you need it. I bought the Martha Stewart Maidenhair Fern bedding collection months before I actually needed it because it was on sale and they had everything I wanted.

Just a heads up - Linens and Things also sells the Hotel Collection that you have shown in the first picture.

We registered at Fortunoff's and 2 weeks later I received an e-mail saying our bedding (Hotel Collection) was being discontinued. I was very upset because when FH and I were in the store we saw a different type that we wanted but the woman there said that one was being discontinued so we saw the one that we fell in love with and asked her if that one would be discontinued and she said no. So we registered for it then about 2 weeks later I get an e-mail saying it was. I called the company itself and asked how am I supposed to know which bedding to register for without being worried that it will be discontinued. She said that certain bedding goes on sale, but that doesn't mean it will be discontinued and basically there is no way of knowing when registering if something will be discontinued. So what FH and I did (after going crazy about this) we registered for another Hotel Collection that was moderately priced that we are not crazy about, but after my shower I am going to return it for something we do like. Fortunoff is coming out with new bedding in the beginning of May. Soooo my advice is if you really like the bedding and don't want to register for anything else then buy it OR just wait and see what happens. Sorry about this long story--I hope I helped.

Best advise figure out what you like better and buy it yourself don't wait for others to buy it for you. They can buy the other stuff that is on the shelves not on discount.

I agree....I think that maybe right now you love it and are nervous it may get discontinued, but its bedding. There's always similar things out there....if you were closer I would say go for it and just buy it, but if you think you'd be REALLY upset if you couldn't find anything else you like then just get it....think about it...is it worth it to spend the $400 now???
