should i change my ceremony time?

ok.. so i was thinking about this.. for my pics im gonna need like 10hrs or more to get all the before ceremony shots of us getting ready and what not plus still have him there for cake cutting, garter toss, etc... we booked RH yesterday and got an 8:30 CH start time, my ceremony is at 3pm. Now i live about 35 minutes away from RH..which is totally fine, my guests will have plenty of time ..even with friday traffic.. so im not worried about that.. but is it gonna be super expensive to get a photographer and video guy to do that many hours without breaking my tiny little budget???? should i change the ceremony start time?? what do you all think??? the church said we can def. call and change times if we need too.. just not sure if we should!! HELP HELP HELP! ( i know..i'm crazy..lol)

I'm not sure how your photographer works, but ours said that since we will go over 10 hours, they charge a flat fee of $100- It does not matter at tat point if they are there 1 more hour or 4...it makes a difference...do you know if yours has something like that in place?

we havent booked one yet, i wanna keep within a 2,000 or less budget for it.. since we are doing our own albums i figured it will be totally doable.. but then i realized how many hours it will be and had a major nervous breakdown..lmao! So thats why i thought of moving the time.. but thank you.. it would be nice to find someone who has a flat fee.. at least i know its possible

Besides the photographer issue - your ceremony will probably be over by 4 or 4:30 and your guests will be waiting 4 hours for your cocktail hour.

If you have out of area guests, this could be a real hassle.....

I would try to move your ceremony a little closer so people won't have to wait as long inbetween. Also, if you have them so far apart, a lot of people might not bother coming to the church.

yea i thought of that too. The only good thing is that RH will try to open the cocktail hour early, plus they have drinks and stuff for the guests in the lobby so they can come early. I only have 2 OOT guests, most everyone else lives near by so they can go home after the ceremony, and take a break before the reception. They'd have to be on the road by 7:15 or 7:30 to make it to RH considering there is always traffic by us. so me may just move the time to 3:30 or 4 if we change times cause i don't want to make ti too late, with all the traffic we'll hit it may turn into a disaster if i make it to late. so we are still trying to work it all out. i have a headache just thinking of it all..lol
