Should I do hair pins or a flower with my hair do?

Ok this is a pic of my wedding day hair from the internet. And there are also 2 pics of me with the same hairdo after my trial.

Should I do little pins or a flower? I'm also wearing a veil so I shouldn't do pins and a flower because then it will be too much. Also, I'm wearing my veil right over the chignon. Does anyone think it should it be under?

ETA- Apparently the pics of me were too large to upload but its the same exact hairdo.

What about a combo of both- try to find hair pins with little flower on them!! But if you cant I think pins is better

what kind of flower?

I wouldnt do anything big, I think that hair do is do elegant and classy looking just the way it is, something big may take away from it.

I'm not sure what they are called but those tiny white flowers look very pretty in a hairstyle like that. A friend of mine did that for her wedding... if I find a picture of what I'm talking about I will let you know.

i think pins that are little flowers would look good. instead of crystal pins use pins that have little flowers on them. i think that would look really pretty.

imo, i think pins would look better. they style is simple and elegant, so i think pins would compliment that a lil better. i love the idea of flowers in hair, but with this style.. id go with the pins.

I have dark hair like you and used pins in my updo-- I am SO glad that I did because with dark hair you don't really see ally of the depth and curls like you do in blonde!

My style was very different, but without the pins you wouldn't have even noticed my hair.

i say that whatever you can tastefully add to your dark hair, you should go for it. Otherwise the beauty of it will get lost!

I like the pins but maybe with little flowers since you also are wearing a veil.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll forget about doing one big flower and I'll decide between the crystal pins or little flower pins.

And that was a good point about the dark hair!
