should I give thank you cards to....?

Hey, quick question. Should I give thank you cards to guests who attended my E party but did not give anything?

The only reason I'm asking is because it says thank you for your wishes and generous gift. Do you think they would feel bad or insulted? If the gift part wasn't in the card then I wouldn't be asking and would send one out to everyone.

What do you guys think? Would it be weird? Would you send one out anyway? Even if the card says 'generous gift?' thanks!

oh and i forgot to mention, they are custom gift cards with our pic on it so I can't just go out and get a different set and it'll be too expensive and not so smart to get another set of 100 for the very few people I'm asking about. So, I either send it to them or not.

Or maybe should I just buy a small thank you card set? But would that also be weird because it's different than the others?

i would go to the store and just grab a pack of generic thank yous
this way they don't feel left out

I think thats what I would do also! You can also order cards with pics on it through snapfish and I think you can order them in small quantities..

I just checked for you quickly..its $12,95 for a set of 12

i actually picked up some at the $1 store the other day just to have in case we got gifts before i got the cards i want

Go with your second thaught, go to target & buy just basic thank yous for those people, no pic needed, just a simple thank you, like a box of 12 is $5 bucks...

this is a good idea

it won't be weird. i doubt they'll be getting together to compare them. hehe. it'd be weirder to say thanks for your gift when they didn't give you one.

I agree that you should just get separate Thank Yous for those who didn't give a gift. I do think it'd be weird to get a TY which says thanks for the generous gift if I didn't give a gift. Also, the people might think you're trying to rub it in their face that they didn't get you something, or are trying to make them feel bad by saying TY for a gift, knowing they didn't get you one.

You should just get the generic TYs and say 'thanks for coming to the party and celebrating in this special occasion with us.' Also, I wouldn't go crazy getting them some special different TY card considering they didn't take time out to get you a small gift for your party (I mean unless there's a good reason for them not getting you a gift, which is a whole other story and from what I'm talking about). So a generic TY card pack from the store should be fine.

just send the same card -- they will understand you had them made before the party and I'm sure they were planning to give something at your wedding

i totally agree! and worst case, if they compare they will see the other had thank you for your gift inside, and realize why they got a diff one
