Should I go on an interview with laryngitis?

I still have laryngitis! It's getting a little better but not much. I have a job interview at 4pm today and really don't want to cancel but I don't know how annoying it is to listen to myself talk. And if I will be able to say all the things I want to say. But then again, the guy wanted to meet last week and I had to push it to this week so I don't want him annoyed either. I need to decide soon!!
What should I do??

Honestly, I would go Meredith....
At least it shows the effort, and for myself, I know I hate when interviewees cancel b/c it makes me wonder how bad they want the job.

If it's a risk for you getting sicker, that's one thing, but if you think you can make it....I would go!

Good Luck!!!!

Thanks Jess for the advice. I want to go but I don't want him to think I'm sick and would get him sick. I'm not- I went to the doctor.

I confirmed with him on Friday and he knew I had laryngitis then. Should I call and tell him I still have it and as long as he's fine with me, then I can come in today . If not, then tomorrow?

Or no- that;s just too much information?

I would reschedule. Just in case you are sick, you wouldn't want to spread germs around. That would be a pretty bad first impression.

I would go as well. It shows them that you are serious and that you are a troopper. They like that

Feel Better

I would leave the ball in his court. Explain the situation. Say you are willing to go in (shows you are a trooper) but do not want to infect anyone (shows courtesy). Good luck!!

Thanks all! I think I am going to call him and let him know I would like to come today but if he would rather me come tomorrow, I can do that. And then call out sick tomorrow!

I just don't feel that I can say everything I want to say feeling this like. Although if he's fine with it, I will make the best of it and go in!

I would go in and right away say I don't sound well, but I feel fine and its nothing contagious

I think it shows work ethic...

but if you think it will affect your answers...then maybe reschedule
