I went out on Saturday with some girlfriends for a friends bday. One of bday girls friend from home was there and was rather drunk. She asked me and one of my other engaged friends if she could try on our e-rings, so we let her. You know what she said? 'These would make nice side stones'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to push her across the bar!

Re: Should I have slapped her?
I would of told her that that her drunk a$$ isn't worth a diamond chip.

Re: Should I have slapped her?
I would have- that is freaking so rude
It not the size of the ring that matters
I knew a girl who damned a 4 carat ring- it turns out the diamond was crap
I would rather have a 1 carat beautiful stone then a 4 carat crappy diamond any day of the week

Re: Should I have slapped her?
She is probably just jealous that you guys are engaged.
You shouldn't let her attempt at an insult get to you so much.

Well I say to you................why on earth did you let another girl try it on. Shame on you!!!!
She can say whatever she wants to say b/c she is not the one planning a wedding now, is she????
NOPE!!!!
YOU ARE!!!!! WHOO HOO!!!
So as far as I am concerned she can take her invincible e-ring and shove it up her as$!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate stupid girls like that!

Re: Should I have slapped her?
That is sooooo rude!!! I also always get the... 'it looks great because your fingers are so small' comment about my ring....some of my friends have the nerve to say it in front of FI and he ends up feeling bad

Re: Should I have slapped her?
I know I know, but I've never been superstitious.
I just don't get where people get their nerves. I could NEVER say anything like that to someone..........hence she is still unengaged!

I would have sarcastically said, 'thanks, your invisible ring is nice too.'
