Here's the question: I am in an organization in the summer. its just a summer thing. anyway, I was invited to one of the girls wedding 2 years ago. I see her every summer but thats it. I don't talk to her throughout the year. But she found out I was getting married, she called to say congrats and ask when the date was. When I told her the date, she said that she would clear her schedule for the wedding. I had no intention of inviting her, basically because she is an aquaintance. Our list of invites are maxed out and we can't invite anymore people. If we could we would invite more family, not friends. What should I do??? Just not send the invite, or talk to her and explain that we can't have anymore people. thanks girls

Re: should I invite????
ouch thats yucko
over the summer see if you two spend a lot of time together - towards the end of the summer decide if you are able to
if not definitely explain to her that space is limited and it was a tough decision because shes so great and u love summers with her yadda but even family members are being excluded due to space -that its very small wedding
or put her on b list
is it the max in the room that is stopping you or the price? because usually you get the meal per person back even if nothing extra - so dont let that stop you in my opinion.

Re: should I invite????
I probably would have said flat out when she brought it up that it was a small wedding, so we were only having family and a few close friends... People usually don't get too upset if you phrase it that way.
I wouldn't invite her just b/c she assumes she's invited... if you are going to be seeing her, though, I'd explain the situation.
What did you say when she said that? If you said something like 'oh great' or along those lines, you definitely need to talk to her if you're not going to invite her.
