I met the man in April 2004. I have the first message that he ever left for me still saved on my voice mail.
Should I keep it? Would you? I'm not 'over it' but you know - I'm kinda over it

Transfer it to an MP3 on your PC so you can delete it off the VM but keep it for memories.

I kept mine for like a year. Then I got lazy and I have weird compulsive issues so I finally deleted it so I had a nice empty box

I always like my box full. Empty boxes aren't fun.

Re: Should I keep holding on to it?
My phone system automatically deletes messages after 30 days.
I'm a keeper. Every poem he ever wrote me, all the cards. I have an 8 year old note he wrote me stuck to my computer monitor at home.
So yea. I say keep it.

You're all a bunch of saps!
I'll keep it. I just listened to it for the first time in forever. It's so funny how he sounded so confident to me but now I can hear that he was nervous and excited.
He's a sap, too.
And maybe me. Like 7% of me.

You have to know that I'm in no way high tech enough to do this. I'm 4 years behind on technology.

Re: Should I keep holding on to it?
VMs I don't keep so I'd say delete it. But notes/cards/letters; those I have. I even printed out some old emails, I have those together and read them again when I come across them.

if you're over it by this point, delete. i can see saving cards or letters. something physical, but not a vm.
