does it matter if i let my bm's save money and do their own hair .... as long as its done right?

IMO, I don't think BM's should have to get their hair done if they don't want to. However they want to wear their hair is fine with me.

have them show you what they want to do, if it comes out great, then I don't see why not let them save the money on their hair.

i have 9 bms getting there hair done and one that is going to do it herself.. it is her problem if she wants to look different.. no one is going to be looking at her afterall!

I asked each of my BM what they wanted to do and they all said they wanted a simple up do - a french twist or just curls. So, they've cut out pictures from magazines on what they want and the salon will do their hair, along with mine. However, I am not paying for there's.

I agree, have them do their own 'trial' on their hair to see how it comes out. As long as it looks nice, it shouldnt matter if they do it themselves or get it done

I will let them pick styles, but I want them to get their hair done professionally.

I left it totally up to them. If they wanted it done professionally or on their own. They all chose to have it done by the same girl doing my hair, but if they didn't want to, that would have been perfectly fine with me.
IMO, we don't have the right to dictate every little thing they do.

I am letting them decide, but I am telling them I want their hair up in some way. Since, I am asking them to wear the same dress I dont think its too much to ask them to all wear their hair up.

I think it's common for BMs to get their hair done and they should expect that the bride may ask them to do this. If I were a BM, I'd assume I'd be getting my hair done and I'd factor that into my budget. If you're worried that they can't afford it, you can help defray the costs by paying for some or all of it.

My one request is that they all have their hair up, preferrably in some type of up-do. I LOVE how that uniformity looks in pictures. If they can do it themselves, more power to them! (I STINK at doing my own hair, so I've always had to go get it done when I was in bridal parties!). I will have a girl at my house the morning of that will do my hair, and if they want to use her services, she charges a bit less than mine for BM's. But, if they want to have their own person do it, no problem! If possible, I'd like all the stylists to come to my house the morning of so that we can all have fun getting ready together.
