My FH bought me a White Gold Engagement ring which I LOVE( So proud he picked it out all by himself) !! But now he wants a Platinum Band while I still get a white gold band. How will this look when we put them together for pics? And should I let him get this type of ring?
I can't remember the last time I saw a couple with matching bands. Everyone I know has a different one fromt heir partner cause everyone's taste is different. I don't think it matters and you can both get what you want and be happy. Anyway, platinum and white gold aren't all that far off and people probably won't be able to tell.
My engagement ring is Platnium and my wedding band is 18kt. White gold. The colors don't match exactly, but you really have to be looking for the difference to notice.
I also dont think the difference in color is that noticeable. I let my FI get whatever he wanted and unfortunately they dont match but we both got what we liked and will wear.
we've picked out our bands and I love yellow gold and my FH is into white gold. Our rings do not match at all. totally different styles and colors. now a days it does not make a difference. once that ring is on your fingers everyone will know you are married.
let him pick what he likes... thats what he'll be wearing for years to come... it wont look much different on the wedding day, as years go by thewhite gold will yellow but it doesnt matter
